Students at the University of Basel: do you have an idea for a short explainer video from your area of study? Then submit your idea to us on Short/ED. We will then select the best proposals and turn them into video shorts. You might soon be standing in our studio – and together we’ll turn your idea into reality! The next submission deadline is on the 30th of November 2023.

The online courses of the New Media Center are called «Tales». «Tales» are multimedia courses that can be accessed anywhere and anytime. You can split a course into chapters; these chapters can for example be videos, articles or quizzes. Our «Tales» service is open to all members of the University of Basel.
We can transform knowledge into formats such as graphics, web applications or games. These visualisations help make science and the arts easy to understand and experience.
