New course in honour of Erasmus von Rotterdam

July 9, 2019

In 2016, an exhibition dedicated to the 500-years anniversary of the first printed Greek publication of the New Testament was staged at Basel Münster. Indeed, during centuries, this epoch-making work has built the basis of all following New Testament editions. In collaboration with the University Library of Basel, the NMC has developed a free open online course (in German) shedding further light on Erasmus von Rotterdam’s work and achievements and allowing to further deepen your knowledge in innovative, multimedia-based study units. Should you be interested, please access the course page here.

Online Courses

Online courses are a promising form of transferring knowledge. The colourful mix of videos, articles, discussions and quizzes provides a varied learning experience and enables a worldwide network of students. For the design of these courses, you need many years of experience in e-learning and in-depth knowledge of media. Together with our partners, we assist you in every project phase from development to production.

Tales

The digital turn starts small-scale: Our new service «Tales» provides e-learning content in a narrative way. The e-learning units form small multimedia stories and can be accessed anywhere and anytime. We support the creation of the units, help you edit your texts, produce the videos and the imagery and implement the learning content in line with your wishes and needs. The service is open to all members of the University of Basel.

Visualizations and Applications

Visualizations and applications make scientific connections easy to recognize and experience. With our network in the scientific community inside and outside our university we are able to achieve results that are up to date and reach their target audience. We value interdisciplinary collaboration also within our team. With many years of combined experience, we translate knowledge into media-compatible formats, such as graphics, web applications or games.
