The History of the Kaserne Basel

In the autumn term of 2025, students from the Department of History produced a radio series on the repurposing of the Kaserne Basel since the 1960s. Across six episodes, the series paints a rich and varied picture – from the Klingental exhibition space and the feminist “Frauenzimmer” to the boxing club. The episodes were created as part of a course taught by Prof. Dr. Peter-Paul Bänziger, in cooperation with the Storie Kulturagentur and the Verein den–K–mal. They were produced at the University of Basel’s New Media Center.
